About us 

Principles Surveyors is an independent business which has been established since 2010 and takes pride in upholding traditional values. 

The company is owned and run by Ian Prince who has over 20 years of experience within the property surveying profession. As well as being a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE), Ian is also a member of SPAB and is the elected Convener / Chair of the Building Limes Forum. 

As a strong advocate of traditional building materials and craftsmanship, Ian is particularly passionate about heritage buildings and has a high level of expertise in this area. Understanding the pathology and structure plus constructional techniques is fundamental to making assessments for consultations.
